Compact solution for windows and doors
Roller Mosquito Screens
Roller Mosquito Systems are a convenient insect protection solution where the mesh fabric rolls into a compact protective cassette. When the net is not needed, it is neatly hidden inside the system and does not obstruct the view from the window or doorway.
Such systems are suitable for windows, balcony doors, terrace exits, and high-traffic areas where convenient daily use is important. The fabric can be lowered or moved only when protection from mosquitoes, flies, fluff, and street debris is needed.
Depending on the opening, you can choose a vertical or horizontal Roller Mosquito System. Vertical solutions are more often used for windows, while horizontal ones are for doors, balconies, and terrace exits. Automatic options are also available for more complex and modern installations.

What to consider when ordering a vertical roller mosquito system?
A vertical roller mosquito system is a roller mosquito system for windows, where the fabric moves from top to bottom and retracts into the top cassette. For the system to operate smoothly, fix securely, and fit the window correctly, it is important to specify not only the width and height when ordering, but also the installation option, fabric control type, and additional elements.
1. Measure the Width of the Opening
Measure the width of the installation area at three points:
- at the top;
- in the middle;
- at the bottom.
If the measurements differ, record all values. For a roller system, it is important that the guides are straight, otherwise the fabric may move less smoothly or not fit tightly at the edges.
2. Measure the Height of the Opening
Measure the height at three points:
- on the left;
- center;
- right.
Height is especially important for the vertical roller mosquito system, because the fabric lowers from top to bottom and is fixed at the bottom. If the windowsill, frame, or slopes are uneven, this must be taken into account when ordering.
3. Select the installation option
Two main installation options are possible for the vertical roller mosquito system.
Type A — internal installation
This is the standard option. The cassette and guides are installed within the opening. This installation looks neat and is suitable if there is enough space inside the opening for the cassette and side guides.
Type B — Face Mount Installation
The system is installed over the opening. This option is used if there is not enough support surface inside the opening, window elements interfere, or the system needs to be fixed externally/on the facade.
If there is no proper support surface during surface installation, an auxiliary corner may be needed.
4. Choose the version: with or without brake
The vertical roller mosquito system can be made:
- without brake;
- with brake.
The version with a brake is more convenient for daily use: the brake slows down and dampens the reverse movement of the spring, so the fabric rises more smoothly and gently.
For the client, it is better to recommend the version with a brake, especially if the net will be used frequently.
5. Decide if the Click-stop mechanism is needed
Click-stop is an additional mechanism that helps neatly latch the bottom bar in the lower position and makes raising the fabric smoother.
Important: Click-stop is only available with weight bar type B and is an additional option.
This option should be considered if a more convenient and controlled closing of the net in the lower position is desired.
6. Choose the type of weight bar
The system uses a bottom bar/weight bar, by which the net is lowered.
When ordering, it is important to consider the type of weight bar:
- weight bar type A;
- weight bar type B.
If weight bar type A and winding type A are selected simultaneously, it should be noted that the weight bar may protrude beyond the dimensions of the cassette or guides.
If Click-stop is needed, the option with weight bar type B should be chosen.
7. Choose the Mesh Types
The standard configuration can use:
- fiberglass mesh with PVC coating in gray or black;
- polyester anti-pollen mesh in black.
Standard mesh is suitable for protection against mosquitoes, flies, and fluff. Anti-pollen mesh is better suited if you need to further reduce the ingress of pollen and fine street dust.
8. Choose the profile color
White color and painting in any RAL color are available for the vertical roller mosquito system.
When ordering, you need to specify:
- standard white color;
- or the desired RAL color from the catalog.
It is important to note that plastic elements and auxiliary corners are only available in black.
9. Check size limitations
Before ordering, you need to check the dimensions against the technical limitations of the system.
For the vertical roller mosquito system, the catalog specifies limitations on minimum and maximum width and height. There is also an important clarification: for small widths, the maximum height may be limited. For example, for some narrow width ranges, the maximum height is 130 cm.
Therefore, if the window is narrow and tall, it is essential to check if the system fits the dimensions.
10. Prepare photos of the installation location
For accurate selection, it is advisable to send photos of:
- general view of the window;
- the top part where the cassette will be;
- the left and right sides where the guides will be;
- the bottom part where the bar will be fixed;
- photos of the slopes and windowsill;
- photos of handles, protrusions, roller shutters, or other elements that may interfere with installation.
Photos help determine which installation to choose: internal or Face Mount Installation.

Important
The vertical roller mosquito system is not an ordinary framed net, but a roller system with a cassette, guides, and a spring mechanism. Therefore, when ordering, it is important to check the space for the cassette, the evenness of the side surfaces, and the possibility of fixing the bottom bar.
If the window is non-standard, narrow, tall, or has complex slopes, it is better not to order the system based on size alone. It is necessary to check the width and height limitations, choose the correct installation type, and use an auxiliary corner if necessary. What to consider when ordering a side roller mosquito system?
A side roller mosquito system is a roller mosquito system for doors, balconies, terraces, and passage openings. Unlike the vertical version, the fabric moves not from top to bottom, but sideways — to the left, right, or from both sides to the center.
For the system to work correctly, it is important to specify the dimensions, opening option, fabric movement direction, installation type, and additional elements when ordering.
1. Measure the Width of the Opening
Measure the total width of the opening that the mosquito net should cover.
It is best to check the width at three points:
- at the top;
- in the middle;
- at the bottom.
If the measurements differ, record all values. For a horizontal roller system, this is important because the fabric moves along guides and must cover the opening without skewing.
2. Measure the Height of the Opening
Measure the height of the opening:
- on the left;
- center;
- right.
If the height differs at various points, this must be reported when ordering. An uneven opening can affect the installation of the cassette, guides, and the tightness of the net's closure.
3. Choose the system version
The side roller mosquito system can be made in several versions.
1L — single-sided left version
The fabric moves in one direction. The cassette and opening direction are selected for a specific opening.
1R — single-sided right version
The fabric also operates in one direction, but with the opposite cassette placement and movement direction.
2C — double-sided version
The system consists of two parts that close the opening from both sides and meet in the center. This option is convenient for wider door and terrace openings.
4. Determine the Opening Side
For the single-sided version, it is essential to specify where the net will retract:
- to the left;
- to the right.
That is, you need to understand which side the cassette will be installed on and in which direction the fabric will collect.
For the double-sided version, specify that the system should close from both sides and meet in the center.
5. Select the installation option
Two options for cassette brackets are listed in the catalog:
Type A — internal installation
Standard option. The system is installed within the opening.
Type B — Face Mount Installation
The system is installed over the opening. This option is used if there is insufficient space inside the opening or no convenient surface for mounting.
If there is no proper support surface during installation, an auxiliary corner may be needed.
6. Check space for the side cassette
The side roller mosquito system has a side cassette where the roller fabric retracts. Therefore, before ordering, you need to check if there is space on the side of the opening.
Pay attention to:
- door handles;
- slopes;
- threshold;
- sliding door guides;
- roller shutters;
- architraves;
- facade elements;
- furniture or other objects near the opening.
If the cassette will interfere with door opening or passage, this must be taken into account before ordering.
7. Specify handle height
Standardly, the mounting holes for the handle are located approximately at half the height of the mosquito net. A different height can be ordered at no extra charge.
Therefore, when ordering, you need to specify whether the standard handle height is suitable or if it should be placed higher/lower — for example, if children, elderly people will use the net, or if there is a non-standard door handle nearby.
8. Choose the Mesh Types
The standard configuration can use:
- fiberglass mesh with PVC coating in gray or black;
- polyester anti-pollen mesh in black.
Standard mesh is suitable for protection against mosquitoes, flies, fluff, and street debris. Anti-pollen mesh is better suited if you need to further reduce the ingress of pollen and fine dust.
9. Choose the profile color
For the side roller mosquito system, the following are available:
- white color;
- RAL painting;
- DecoRAL decorative coatings.
When ordering, you need to specify the profile color. It is important to note that plastic parts are only available in black.
10. Check if a reinforcing profile is needed
If the size of the mosquito net exceeds 80 cm in width and 200 cm in height, it is recommended to use a reinforcing profile. It increases the stability of the system and can be used as an additional handle for operating the net.
Important: the reinforcing profile is not available in "golden oak" color. Instead, it can be painted in a similar RAL 8013 shade.
11. Clarify locking mechanism
For the side roller mosquito system, the following locking mechanisms are available:
Ovo-lock
Locking mechanism for the single-sided version. To unlock the net, simply press a button.
Wing lock
Mechanism for the double-sided version. Allows one part of the mosquito net to be fixed in the open position.
These elements help to use the system more conveniently, especially on doors and wide openings.
12. Prepare photos of the installation location
For accurate system selection, it is advisable to send:
- a general view of the opening;
- a photo of the left side;
- a photo of the right side;
- a photo of the top;
- a photo of the bottom;
- a photo of the threshold;
- a photo of handles and protruding elements;
- photos from outside and inside.
Photos help determine which installation to choose, where to best place the cassette, and if anything will interfere with the net's movement.
What to specify when ordering a side roller mosquito system
To place an order, prepare:
✓ opening width;
✓ opening height;
✓ system version: 1L, 1R, or 2C;
✓ opening side for the single-sided version;
✓ installation type: internal type A or Face Mount Installation type B;
✓ profile color: white, RAL, or DecoRAL;
✓ Mesh Type: standard or anti-pollen;
✓ whether a non-standard handle height is needed;
✓ whether a reinforcing profile is needed;
✓ whether Ovo-lock or wing lock is needed;
✓ whether there is space for a side cassette;
✓ photos of the installation location.
Important
The side roller mosquito system is a system for doors and passages, so when ordering, it is especially important to consider not only the size but also the convenience of daily use. You need to determine in advance where the net will retract, where the side cassette will be located, whether it will interfere with the handle or passage, and if there is enough space for the guides.
If the opening is wide, tall, or used daily, it is better to immediately provide for a reinforcing profile and a convenient handle height.
